We have been engaged to acquire a driven Account Manager to oversee the growth of our manufacturing company's internet channel and mass retail accounts. The Account Manager will be responsible for maximizing growth for their assigned accounts by implementing and achieving plans to achieve net sales and operating income targets. This person will build and maintain strategic relationships with the purchasing and operation's teams of their accounts. They Account Manager will grow those accounts by increasing sales of both their existing products and new products.

  • Develop programs and competitive response to deliver account objectives
  • Provide accurate and detailed forecasts for assigned accounts
  • Review sales results, inventory turnover and competitive industry analysis to anticipate changes in the Industry and market
  • Review slow-turn items and work with Product Management to manage the product portfolio
  • Review all internal order and fulfillment processes and work with the Operations team to continually improve, automate and enable better cost efficiency and profit maximization
  • Work with sales management on sales calls and product presentations to customers
  • Travel up to 20%
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business or similar required
  • At least 3 years’ experience with mass retail or big box retailers
  • Experience managing the operating budget for a major account or set of accounts preferred
  • Excellent project management and team coordination skills
  • A solid understanding of account P&Ls and levers to achieve operating income goals required
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with ERP systems is a plus
