Our client is a well-established manufacturing of components and systems for the agricultural equipment industry.  They need to add a very hands on Manufacturing Engineer to their staff because of growth.  80% on the floor where they do machining and metal fabrication and 20% at your desk.  
 
Duties:

  • Lead projects utilizing machining, metal stamping, heat treating and flame spray operations.  They use QRM (Quick Response Manufacturing) practices
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Troubleshoot production problems and work to continually improve processes
  • Interface with Supervisors and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of production
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement
  • Involvement with “PPAP” (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Works closely with purchasing and suppliers of part components, tool and contracted service

 Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Materials Science Engineering
  • 3 to 10 years of experience working in a machining / metal stamping environment as a hands on Manufacturing Engineer
  • Demonstrated ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex processes
  • Experience with QRM is highly desired
  • Lean manufacturing experience is highly desired
  • Design and drafting experience with SolidWorks is preferred
