THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: 
Our client is looking for an established Senior Interior Designer, with experience in a variety of sectors and preferably in the Senior Living and Hospitality Industries. This individual will be responsible for project management of the complete design process for large projects, both newly constructed and renovated.  he Procurement Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Utilize exceptional design skills, conduct programming and conceptual design efforts developing innovative design solutions to complex problems
  • Manage all interior design phases of varying sizes and complexities from schematic through construction
  • Develop the project design appropriate to the project scope and owners budget
  • Responsible for all project deliverables including comprehensive interior design package with architectural detailing
  • Responsible for meeting overall design schedule for assigned projects
  • Design, direct, or provide input (depending upon department workload) into the detailing of project elements and the design or detailing of custom features on other projects
  • Provide design leadership with the project team, including the ability to direct and evaluate design options and correct as needed
  • Guide the design and selection of the furniture package through owner approval; direct and approve specifications to be handed off to the procurement department
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of finishes, furniture, and all material appropriate for the environments for the varied lifestyles and different levels of care in a CCRC
  • Assume the lead role in design presentations to the clients
  • Support the office and co-workers through active mentoring, continuing education, and training of team members
  • Provide support to all team members when need for advanced design expertise
  • Partner and collaborate with individuals throughout the company to create and support a strong team-oriented approach

 
 BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • 7 – 9years experience as an interior designer
  • Four year undergraduate degree from an accredited interior design program
  • NCIDQ certification
  • LEED accreditation is a plus
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, working knowledge of Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, and other design software
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Ability to delegate and direct the work efforts of others
  • Knowledge of relevant codes
  • Ability to cultivate, foster, and nurture both client and vendor relationships
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and team building skills
  • MS Office
  • Some travel – primarily along the East Coast

Salary : $65,000 – $80,000
