You will have the opportunity to lead a profitable functional area of the practice – leading the team, building the business and ensuring the team delivers exceptional client service. This role also supports the business development and growth initiatives of the practice and is responsible for retaining talented people through strong leadership and coaching/mentoring relationships.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Defines assignment performance expectations and structures teams to meet these expectations.
Has a comprehensive understanding of the firm, the people and the services they provide and the firm’s clients.
Supports the partner team in the development of the business plan.
Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders within the firm.
Identifies and manages risk factors.
Leverages resources to achieve maximum profitability.
Works with the partner team to identify, research and cultivate client targets and manages proposal initiatives.
Scopes, plans and manages assignments for maximum profitability.
Takes a strategic view of consulting work.
Reviews and confirms assignment objectives scope and work plan with the client.
Manages a number of responsibilities in the face of competing priorities.
Anticipates and identifies complex assignment issues and co-operates closely with the assignment partner or other firm experts in resolving them.
Develops assignment budgets for review by the assignment partner and monitors realization, utilization, and accounts receivable progress.
Improve realization on client engagements.
Total hours goal of 2,400 hours.
Total chargeable hours goal of 1,550 hours.
Spends considerable time business development opportunities and people development initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance.
Must have their CPA.
12 to 15 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting or related field.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
 
 
Has a thorough knowledge of systems and processes within their discipline and is able to utilize resources to apply them.
Has a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the firm’s systems, processes and services and is able to utilize resources to apply them.
Applies thorough knowledge of the firm’s systems and processes and is proactive in seeking opportunities to sell services.
Has a good understanding of the prevailing business environment and the opportunities it may create for consulting opportunities.
Is alert to subtle “buying signals” for services outside areas of expertise and refers them to the appropriate person.
Generates, pursues, and supports the partner team in closing, sales.
Is able to identify client decision criteria/triggers and integrate these into the proposal process.
 
 
Salary : $110,000 – $150,000
