Account Executive, Public Sector

Location: Baltimore, MD

 

 Job Summary:

The Public Sector team sells across all lines of our Client’s business (LOB).  We are looking for a sales professional who is well versed in the Public Sector, and is experiences in working with and through large Federal Systems Integrators.  Applicant must have strong sales skills, knowledge of the Software Information community and DOD federal agencies.

Our Client’s solutions are complex enterprise and platform based solutions that provide high value to their customers.   It will be necessary to participate and lead technical customer discussions, as well as create demand and close high level executives with well-articulated value and ROI communications.   Position is a quota-carrying role with responsibility for working with customers and prospects for software, services and hardware.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying top prospects for solutions: including software, services and hardware
  • Works with cross functional solution specialists to develop enterprise solution strategies and ensure execution of sales plans
  • This position must be able to communicate effectively in a technical manner with senior business and C-Level IT executives, as well as senior DOD staff
  • Responsible for developing customer specific value propositions, business cases, and ROI
  • Creates technical integration strategies and implementation plans with customer’s IT stakeholders
  • Gains customer commitment, builds momentum and accelerates the sales cycle, while working with key influencers throughout the sales process to minimize issues at closing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, technical discipline strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience in public sector or commercial industry experience
  • Previous Military Service experience a plus
  • Proven success in solution sales environment
  • Ability to articulate the value of a complex solution sale in technical terms to support our customer experience platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to understand sales barriers and overcome initial technology hurdles to close business
  • Strong understanding of the Government and Military procurement cycles
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Preference for residence in the Greater Washington DC or Texas area
