Automation Field Service Technician – North Carolina

Overview:

 
Perform automation & controls technology support and trouble shooting for filling and Isolator equipment in the pharmaceutical industry
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
– Automation support by phone, remote and onsite
– System troubleshooting of Rockwell controllogix + SCADA systems, corrective maintenance and disaster recovery
– Perform system configuration & implementation of automation changes with support of our highly experienced Engineering teams
– Willingness to be on call 24/7 within a rotation and be flexible in day-to-day, to respond to last minute break downs and call outs.
– Providing automation support to customers who already own our pharma equipment, which can require time of on-site work to troubleshoot electrical and automation machine failures and errors.
– Technically understand the machine production lines and sterile environment, know how operating the line, and understand the pharma processes
– Basic level of knowledge of our processes or procedures
– Analyze customers’ production and quickly provide solutions that will increase levels of production in a cost-effective manner for the customer. 
– Know how to systematically approach and solve technical issues
– Read and understand machine documentation and parameters and possibilities
– Execute simple machinery modifications, either to repair customers’ equipment or to upgrade based on engineering developments
– Have a technical understanding of the equipment and the impact of change in a sterile environment and under consideration of the pharma change control procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Automation and programming experience with Rockwell PLC systems and SCADA systems
    – at least 2 years experience with special machinery
    – ability to work and read technical drawings
  • Electrical / Controls / Automation education or diploma

Travel:
Travelling 175 days + per year  (mainly domestic)
