The Billing Coordinator role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. You should have strong communication skills and be comfortable working with internal and external clients to ensure accurate and timely billing.
A minimum of two years of billing experience and an Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or finance is required, along with advanced Excel capabilities and knowledge of automated accounting systems. Experience with third party electronic billing software and working within the Aderant and/or Elite systems is preferred. The successful candidate should also possess the ability to analyze data and identify billing-related issues, as well as escalate those issues to a supervisor as needed.
Overall, the Billing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for assigned attorneys and/or clients, following both firm and client guidelines.
