Buyer Purchasing Specialist for Manufacturing Projects
  • Must have three or more years of purchasing experience for manufacturing operations, one or more years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel to be considered

This employee-oriented, family-oriented debt-free manufacturer is hiring a full time, permanent Buyer Purchasing Specialist for Manufacturing Projects. The work environment is collaborative and employees work well together. Customers are diverse across numerous industries. The company produces custom robotic automation equipment and machines from the ground up which makes the work for all employees varied and interesting. Employees are never bored here. 
 
There is the opportunity to learn and grow with this position. Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Performing the duties of an administrative level buyer (not a big buyer)
  • Communicating with engineers, manufacturing and suppliers
  • Sourcing items to be purchased including metals and plastics as well as parts and components
  • Pricing and purchasing items for manufacturing projects
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Buying strictly for the project at hand (most of what is purchased is already spec’d
  • Entering information into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Microsoft Excel

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • Three or more years of purchasing experience for manufacturing operations
  • One or more years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
