THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
This position will be responsible for monitoring shipments to ensure effective communication and on-time shipments to our key retail customers. Additionally, this position will coordinate with transportation companies and warehouse facilities to prioritize the movement of products through the supply chain.
- Schedule loads
- Speak with carriers
- Ensure vessels will have product to the ports on time and make sure that incoming product is received on time by this facility
- Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements: plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all products
- Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity, and resource planning: product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management
- Analyze and determine supply / demand requirements
- Analyze purchase material supply/demand
- Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM requirements
- Assess rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirments
- Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
- Anlayze lead times and identify critical path procurements
- Schedules/Reschedules Inbound deliver
- Freight management of inbound traffic flow
- Data Entry
- Monitors inbound and outbound freight traffic
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 5 years experience in a high visible/volume logistics position
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills – prefer advanced to exceptional Excel skills
- Excellent Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and PC skills
- Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- knowledge of supply chain / logistics in a consumer products or related industry (manufacturing and / or assembly and distribution)
- Previous customer service, sales, or supply chain experience
