Solid manufacturing client of ours in need of a Manufacturing Engineer.
Summary: Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
 Works with manufacturing, engineering and customers to develop optimal solutions for customer requirements
 Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of
workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
 Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
 Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and
production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
 Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring
job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
 Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
 Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or
component.
 Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
 Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
 Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
 Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended
process improvements to management.
 Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
 Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
 Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
 Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) or equivalent; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as
progressive die and mechanical presses, press brakes, horizontal saws, plasma and laser cutting machines, manual 2 component paint spray systems, manual and robotic MIG weld systems, orbital riveting systems and design, vertical CNC mills and horizontal CNC lathes with live tooling, Keyseaters, and rolls is a plus.
Computer Skills: Epicor ERP, AutoCAD, Inventor, RADAN, Lincoln Weld-Pro, Trump Press Brake Unfold and Bend Software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
