Are you a Master Scheduler/Production Planner who wants to join a very successful manufacturing company that is expanding its workforce?  If you can answer “yes” to these questions, you should consider this opportunity.

 

Our client is a privately held manufacturing company that has been in business for nearly a century. Our client is adding a Master Scheduler to its team.  As Master Scheduler you will play a key role in managing the workflow for each manufacturing operation.  You will plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacturing of industrial or commercial products.  

 

As Master Scheduler your responsibilities will include:

  • Drawing up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  • Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and
    human resource requirements.
  • Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Conferring with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Expediting operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Preparing production reports.
  • Preparing lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.

 

As Master Scheduler your background should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies.  troubleshoots technological problems; uses technology to increase productivity.
  • Experience with Excel, Inventory software, and manufacturing software
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate changes effectively
