We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for an outstanding manufacturing firm in Cleveland, Ohio. You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation and operation of various mechanical systems
  • Be responsible for managing your own time utilisation and revenue targets
  • Previous experience managing projects and budgets to meet time and resource requirements
  • Provide design leadership for new product design and develop cost effective solutions to product and manufacturing issues
  • Develop electrical design specifications and requirements for AC induction motors (single and three phase designs, fractional and small integral horsepower) for pumping applications in volatile liquids
  • Develop design specifications and requirements for induction motor controls including magnetic starters
  • Develop and specify mechanical requirements for motors and pumps used in hazardous location environments and the associated controls
  • Assess and specify materials for use in and compatibility with volatile liquids, related to vehicle fueling applications
  • Manage regulatory agency approval projects to gain product certification for use in global hazardous location environments
  • Analyze product failures of new product designs assist with warranty return analysis

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in mechanical design engineering or other related fields
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree or similar
  • 5 years of experience in the design or installation of mechanical systems and/or field inspection of mechanical systems
  • Professional Engineering license (P.E.) a plus, or will assist in obtaining
  • Experience with engineering tools such as Solidworks, Inventor, and Creo required
  • Solid Edge 3D CD a strong plus
  • Sheetmetal experience preferred
  • Airflow, conveyor and heat transfer background a plus
