This full time, permanent Mechanical Project Engineer opening is at a growing, diverse, custom structural, system and metal component manufacturer. Customers are diverse and include biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical companies. The company promotes from within and does not hold employees back from growing their skillset and careers. Numerous advancement opportunities will exist as the company continues to grow. This smaller company values employees and treats employees well. The company has been in existence for approximately 30 years and employs approximately 100 employees. The company has not experienced a layoff since 2007.

 

If an employee has the aptitude and drive they can advance to a project management role. This position is available due to continued company growth due to demand for company products. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

  • Managing projects to stay on time and on budget
  • Scheduling and budgeting a variety of custom engineering projects
  • Creating, engineering, fabricating and testing of custom engineer projects
  • Reviewing detailed, custom engineering 3D SolidWorks drawings
  • Working with a variety of vendors and customers
  • Working with a variety of engineering and production employees
  • Working in unison with and supporting project engineers
  • Creating the Production Ready Library
  • Creating Engineering Change Notices
  • Creating bills of materials
  • Coordinating integrations
  • Overseeing installations in the field

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • Two years of functioning as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer
  • Two years of engineering design experience
  • A four-year engineering degree or three years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical or food industries
  • Two or more years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • A proficiency in managing multiple projects at the same time
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
