Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiencies, maximizing production output, and ensuring product quality meets customer expectations. You will manage a team of production supervisors and manufacturing technicians to achieve production targets, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.
Our ideal candidate has experience managing a manufacturing facility and has a deep understanding of TPS & Lean / Six Sigma principles. Someone who can lead cross-functional teams, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and drive results.
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Operations, you will lead, direct, and control the day-to-day activities of a single plant to achieve the short and medium-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall organizational business plan. You will work with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production, quality, and distribution processes, with the expectation of achieving budgeted year-over-year improvements in revenue, ROS, yield, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
As a Plant Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be the driving force behind our manufacturing operations, ensuring we meet customer demands while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a manufacturing strategy that aligns with business objectives
- Driving operational excellence initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency
- Managing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Optimizing production processes to maximize output and minimize downtime
- Leading cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Managing staffing levels and ensuring team members are properly trained
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of production equipment
Skills & Qualifications:
In this Plant Manager role we’re looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience managing successful manufacturing facilities
- Experience with Toyota Production Systems (TPS)
- Experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles and methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Compensation:
$90K – $125K
