Regional Sales Manager
Remote*
Regional Sales Manager with experience as a custom supplier to the construction industry is needed to manage a dealer network in the New England/Northeast region. This role will work closely with dealers, architects, designers, and general contractors. The products are custom designed for the residential (single and multifamily), commercial/business, and institutional/governmental customers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree and experience managing a dealer network selling construction supplies used in new construction or replacement and renovation construction. They will have experience working internally with marketing, product development, and customer service. This role requires the personal touch and the ability to manage others without direct oversight. Travel includes visiting dealers on a quarterly basis and as needed (about 25%). This is a work remote position for someone located near a major airport in the territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts, strategies, and action plans to help reach long-term and annual business goals
  • Implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Manage sales channels (dealer network, national accounts, others)
  • Work with dealers to develop leads and sales/marketing capabilities
  • Monitor market coverage to ensure the appropriate number and types of dealers are established to penetrate various market niches
  • Recruit and add dealers to the network if they bring incremental sales potential to the company
  • Train dealers on new product offerings
  • Communicate changes in products and pricing to dealers
  • Assist dealers in creating synergies between end-users and influencers
  • Interface and build relationships with end-users (consumers, builders, and general contractors) and influencers (architects) by providing product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and direction.
  • Accurate and on-time reporting of sales activity, administrative reports, expense reports, etc.
  • Travel as needed
Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Building material industry experience working with building material suppliers or dealers
  • Experience in the construction industry with new construction or replacement and renovation construction
  • 3+ years of experience managing channel partners (dealers) in the construction industry
  • 3+ years of marketing experience
