Regional Sales Manager – Materials Division

Location: Within an hour’s driving distance of a major airport in the Ohio Valley region.

Are you a sales professional with a knack for building relationships and sealing deals? Our esteemed client, a leader in materials solutions, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales within the Ohio Valley region. You’ll be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within the region, cultivating relationships with both prospective and existing customers through strategic sales initiatives.   • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the Ohio Valley region, cultivating relationships with both prospective and existing customers through strategic sales initiatives.
  • Harness company-provided resources to bolster the sales process, leveraging marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and collaborative efforts with fellow sales associates.
  • Attend material test trials, utilizing these opportunities to deepen customer relationships and uncover additional business prospects.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Support Representatives and Forecast and Pricing Analysts to streamline materials forecasting, quoting, and order processing procedures.
  • Harness the power of CRM tools to streamline sales processes and enhance customer engagement.
  • Coordinate with equipment sales and management teams to ensure seamless material performance and drive sales within defined territories or key accounts.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle for assigned territories or key accounts, from initial trials to order fulfillment and beyond, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and valued customers, addressing issues ranging from initial trials to receivables collections and quality matters.
  • Stay abreast of competitive activity within the region and report findings to management.
  • Operate within allocated expense budgets and strive to meet established sales targets.
  • Participate actively in industry events, trade shows, and sales meetings as directed by management.
  • Provide support and guidance to Regional Sales Associates as needed.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and best practices, continuously refining your selling skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of sales experience
  • At least one year selling materials such as plastic films, vacuum pouches, thermoforming films, barrier films, MAP materials, flexible materials, etc.,
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM management systems
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel as required

Work Environment:

This role involves frequent travel to customer sites with exposure to food processing environments. While performing duties, you may encounter moving mechanical parts, varying temperatures, and loud noise levels.
