The parent company is the second largest trailer manufacturer in the country and has achieved amazing growth both organically and through acquisitions. As Sales Manager you will lead an account management team to cultivate and strengthen partnerships with existing and prospective dealers. You will manage a team of three. You will lead the growth of the Eastern US, Midwest, and Canada territories.
As Sales Manager you will:
- Guide day to day activities of account management team
- Identify needs and coordinate training of the account management team to build skills
- Provide on-going performance feedback to team members through informal and formal channels
- Establish targets, forecasts and budgets for the Sales function and drive execution
- Monitor market conditions, industry innovations, and competitor’s prices, and sales trends
- Work with marketing team to create necessary content and collateral to train dealer’s team members
- Continually look for new ways to improve overall performance
As Sales Manager your background should include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years of outside industrial sales experience in manufacturing
- Solid management experience leading and mentoring a sales team
- Experience selling to dealers a plus
- Track record of building strong relationships
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Negotiation skills
- Solid computer skills
- Willingness to travel overnight 15-20%
