In this position, you’ll be the visionary and strategic leader, directing all aspects of the engineering function. This role is crucial in ensuring our engineering efforts align with the highest technical and organizational standards. You’ll be at the forefront, establishing and driving the strategic direction of our engineering and development initiatives, crucial for our annual and long-range business goals. Your role involves collaborating with senior leadership and teams across the organization, bringing your strategic problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a robust foundation in multiple engineering disciplines to the table.
- Engineering Vision and Strategy: Partner with the senior leadership team to craft and translate the business vision and strategy into an engineering roadmap. Deeply understand our products, customer experience, and revenue drivers to develop technology and products in sync with our objectives.
- New Product Development & Operational Excellence: Lead the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of new products. Champion a Continuous Improvement culture, offering coaching and training to enhance our organizational processes.
- Engineering Management: Oversee the department’s daily operations, ensuring projects are efficiently completed within budget. Manage and oversee relationships with third-party vendors and software development partners.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, product management, and various organizational functions to achieve goals, providing expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems.
- Leadership Skills: Lead the Engineering Department overseeing Design, Manufacturing, Software Systems, and Administration following organizational policies. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance appraisal, and resolving employee issues.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
- 15+ years mastering product development and management.
- Fluency in mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software design.
- Core Competencies: Fostering Teamwork, Managing Performance, Building Collaborative Relationships, Customer Orientation, Result Orientation, Personal Credibility.
- Organizational Competencies: Initiative, Developing Others, Influencing, Focus Establishment, Strategic and Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, Project Management.
- Technical Skills: Profound knowledge in engineering principles and procedures, adept in project management, 3D modeling software proficiency, superior math skills, and software design and development experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Six Sigma, Lean Training is preferred.
Compensation: The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $150k to $190k, based on experience. This is complemented by a performance-based bonus, RSUs, and an extensive benefits package.
