Seeking a Senior Financial Reporting (SEC) Accountant for our energy client located in Houston, Texas.  The role is HYBRID (2 days per week WFH).


  • Base Salary $80k – $96k DOE plus excellent benefits
  • Accounting Degree and 3+ years of professional experience required
  • Public Accounting experience (Big 4) strongly preferred
  • Public company experience (financial/SEC reporting or Big 4 audit) required



This position will be responsible for the financial reporting processes and financial analysis for the company. The position offers multiple opportunities to highlight analytical skills to various senior executives and provides great networking opportunities across the company.



  • Prepare, analyze and present quarterly reporting of consolidated financial results
  • Support the preparation and analysis of the reporting packages, and other financial results as deemed necessary
  • Liaise with the business accounting teams for consolidated analyses
  • Lead ad hoc requests/special projects for financial reporting initiatives
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors by providing requested items and responding to questions in support of the financial statement audit
  • Execute effective internal control procedures and maintain compliance with SOX requirements
  • Be an integral part of the reporting team by promoting collaboration, innovation and business expertise



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ years of public or private accounting experience required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA or CPA eligible a plus
  • Strong technical accounting skills; knowledge of accounting theory and practices, of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple requests for various departments
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including refined presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, take ownership, and work in a flexible team environment
  • Strong ERP and systems knowledge – Hyperion and Oracle experience a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
