Our client is a leading distributor and service center that specializes in the overhaul, repair, maintenance, and testing of diesel engines, turbochargers, and filtration equipment.
The ideal candidate will perform assembly and disassembly of main engines and/or auxiliary diesel generators and all associated processes for the purpose of repair, maintenance, and installation. Individuals will skillfully use metric and imperial measuring tools, such as verniers, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
The client is looking for an individual who will have the following:
- Knowledge of engine components and mechanical and hydraulic components; knowledge of auxiliary systems and components, including piping systems; valves, and rigging equipment in tight engine room spaces.
- A recognized mechanical certificate from a trade school or military training institution OR an Associate Degree from a recognized institute in the area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Capable to work with portable equipment on site, including digital cameras, etc. to provide condition reports.
