As Senior Buyer you will need to discuss how you manage-
The role will be responsible buying supplies for the entire production facility. You will need to coordinate with estimating, customer service, planning and production to make sure supplies are in stock or ordered for delivery within expectations so production can move forward as planned to insure delivery to the client on time. This is a fast-paced role with every order being “custom” with changes in paper, inks, finishing and buyout needs. This is less about replenishment and more about being part of the production team creating custom products daily.
You will need to work with vendors, department heads and clients when questions or timeline changes need to be made due to issues outside your control.
The issues they have had are around 3 areas. First there have been miss orders of product both too much and not enough. Second has been miscalculations of needed product ordered. Third there has been a lack of urgency in getting orders in which has caused supply chain issues and delays in production. They need someone who can calculate the right amount of material need, cost it correctly and get it ordered so that it can arrive just in time for production schedule needs.
