YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY

  • Assists in the completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief
  • Responsible for the operation, checking, and basic field adjustments of survey equipment (tripods, tribrachs, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems)
  • Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations•
  • Read and interpret various types of maps and plans
  • Complete neat and orderly field notes for survey operations with supervision from Crew Chief•
  • Advises Crew Chief informed of problems and progress
  • Load and unload trucks with equipment and supplies
  • Clean and maintain survey equipment, tools, and vehicle
  • Follow company safety procedures for survey operations

BACKGROUND

  • High School Diploma or equivalent / some college is a plus
  • 0 to 40 years (Willing to train – but must have a strong desire to learn, enjoy an outdoor work environment, have good basic math skills AND also anxious to hire experienced land surveyors and mappers at various levels of experience
  • Basic knowledge in the principles and performance of basic types of surveys, survey computations, and field operations
  • Possession of a valid, current driver’s license
  • Ability to work continually outside in all types of weather conditions
