Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily ownership of activities within the Shipping / Receiving department, Including being responsible for processing all inbound and outbound freight and control of goods coming into the facility.
  • Effectively support the material requirements and delivery of goods to internal departments within the company, working closely with the material handling department
  • Supervise and lead an internal group of Shipping / Receiving personnel to maintain workflow and daily operations.
  • Establish and maintain Import and Export controls regarding outgoing shipments, including proper paperwork necessary for international shipments. Be well versed regarding laws and regulations associated with Import and Export Compliance.
  • Determine cost-effective logistic paths and efficient transportation of overseas goods.
  • Develop new strategies and streamline processes to reduce cost and employ Lean tactics within the department.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes.
  • Orchestrate daily meetings within the department to review work in process and expectations of department employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Import / Export compliance and regulation experience required
  • 2 years of Warehouse management experience required
  • ISO and/or Lean Process Improvement experience required
  • ITAR training and APICS certifications are a plus.
  • Associate degree in business, systems engineering or supply chain management is required.
  • 4-year degree in a related field preferred
