Conflicts Attorney – Legal Risk & Ethics
Full-Time | Onsite | Cleveland, OH
We’re working with a respected law firm in Cleveland to find a Conflicts Attorney who can help manage ethical compliance and conflict resolution across new business, lateral hires, and client intake. This is a great opportunity for a licensed attorney with a strong attention to detail and prior experience in a law firm conflicts department.
In this role, you’ll be a key part of the team that ensures the firm upholds its professional responsibilities—supporting internal counsel and attorneys in evaluating and clearing conflicts in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Tackle:

Analyze conflict search results and flag potential ethical or business concerns

Partner with internal counsel, attorneys, and conflicts staff to resolve complex issues

Draft conflict waivers, engagement letters, and internal screening memoranda

Manage the setup and maintenance of ethical walls using firm systems

Support lateral attorney transitions and matter intake processes

Assist with data cleanup and ongoing maintenance of the conflicts database

Contribute to process improvement and training within the department

Occasionally travel to other offices and work outside regular hours, as needed
What We’re Looking For:

JD and solid understanding of legal ethics and conflict rules

Previous experience working in a law firm conflicts department

Intapp experience is a plus

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle a high volume of tasks with accuracy and urgency

Team mindset and comfort collaborating across departments
