Pricing Analyst (job description)

Description:

· This roles focus is on maintaining and researching product pricing to obtain an optimal balance between sales volume and margins.

· They will develop product line suppliers that fit within the general business strategy and will communicate with them to obtain updated list pricing, promotional material and technical content for marketing.

· They must be able to efficiently generate and manage date including: Bulk updates to a pricing, creation on new products within then ERP system and collating e-commerce SQL data for building new product listings.

Key Tasks:

· Research, set, and update product pricing for all e-commerce product groups. Typically, 1-2 times per year.

· Set list pricing and discount multipliers for OEM, Distribution and high-volume purchase levels.

· Assist with identifying potential vendor partnerships or working with existing partners to develop product categories or major listings that align with our existing portfolio.

· Negotiate and manage distribution partnerships through regular communication and exchange of ideas.

· Facilitate vendor compliance with e-commerce data requirements. Act as a go between to maximize vendor participation in e-commerce program to reduce the effort necessary to bring a new listing to market.

· Build new product data tables and assist with project scoping digital content creation

· Identify vendor sponsored marketing initiatives that can be used to increase product line sales.

· Manage ERP system, (QuickBooks Advanced Online and SOS Inventory) and E-commerce updates such as major product price updates, high level customer discount rates, and new product line listings.

Core Skills:

· Strong understanding of business mathematics, possible utilization of analytical tools such as SPSS, SAS, or Minitab

· Proficient with data manipulation, importing and correcting data structure from multiple sources, formatting for SQL, and handling of local spreadsheets or access data

· Strong ability to communicate and collaborate well on projects

· Must fully understand how to structure raw data for import into SQL Databases

· 4 year, BS degree or higher in business or other analytical degree
