Job Summary:

Growing custom manufacturing and fabrication company seeks an Operations Manager to set up and oversee their newest branch facility. This operations-oriented leader will create strategies to increase efficiency and profit and to work cooperatively with other departments to maintain and strengthen the overall effectiveness of the business. The business has a private family feel and offers autonomy and support in each of its unique branches. The Operations Manager must have a strong understanding of operations, manufacturing principles and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to help set up a new facility from scratch and leave a big footprint on the design and direction of the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the hiring process for the location
  • Implement strategies to improve productivity and sales performance
  • Work with Plant Manager to establish production goals and make sure they are achieved
  • Coordinate to ensure product quality standards are met
  • Oversee financial and production reports to measure overall performance
  • Ensure facility operates with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Work with team to adhere to established operating budgets
  • Ensure your team has the tools and resources required to successfully fulfill their obligations
  • Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are established, safety training is conducted, and OSHA requirements are met
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met
  • Oversee maintenance for building, property, equipment, and vehicles
  • Work closely with controller to ensure proper financial procedures are followed and process documentation meets accounting requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • 5 years of management experience overseeing a manufacturing facility
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing tools and machinery including facers, lathes, CNC’s, and other mechanical equipment
  • 5 years of financial reporting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills
  • Creative problem solving
  • Leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail-oriented
