Our client is one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious physician owned Orthopedic & Physical Therapy Practice groups with over 60 locations in Maryland, Washington, D.C. & Virginia.
This Director, Operations/Practice Manager is a hands-on operational role. This individual will function as this division’s “CEO” and is responsible for the overall management of a high volume, fast-paced healthcare practice in Washington, D.C with an overall employee group of 75+. This position provides operational management of the practice, revenue cycle management, supervision of staff and foster growth and support to the Physicians. The Director, Operations works closely with physician leadership to plan, direct, and coordinate all division activities and manage, coordinate, and resolve any issues that may arise.
This is an onsite based position.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate and manage all practice functions.
- Oversees and coordinates daily operations, including coverage and workflows.
- Provide executive support to the physician group to meet operational and financial goals.
- Manages financial matters for the Division to achieve operational efficiency and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Ensures regulatory compliance, including credentialing of professional/licensed staff, adherence to Medicare regulations and all payor regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment for providers & staff through organizational support.
- Directs, monitors, and evaluates all activities of the practice to ensure professional medical care for each patient.
- Provide direction for and evaluation for all staff both clinical and administrative.
- Resolve all issues related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with government regulations and industry requirements.
- Document processes and maintain records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration is a plus. Masters preferred.
- At least 10 years’ experience in practice administration and management in a similar environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with Digital Marketing Outreach programs.
- Previous management of a larger Orthopedic, Medical or Surgical practice preferred.
