Senior Process Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Design Center team in Greenville, SC. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this senior engineer will be responsible for process design and management in support of Water Services Group projects. You will have the opportunity to work on high-volume, custom plant projects, directly engage with clients, mentor team members, and participate in marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Develop design criteria from analysis of water and wastewater process modeling data
  • Support water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementation
  • Perform hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Lead pump selection and pump station design
  • Design chemical storage and feed systems
  • Size and design blower systems
  • Select mechanical equipment
  • Produce piping and instrumentation drawings
  • Prepare specifications and contract documents
  • Support construction projects and oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models
  • Manage design phases, coordinate schedules, monitor budgets, and ensure quality work products

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 10+ years of relevant project design experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems/agricultural, or related engineering discipline
  • Experience in designing lift stations, booster pump stations, chemical feed systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with project teams
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
  • Active participation in local professional organizations
