Are you a seasoned Legal Assistant with a knack for litigation and a love for keeping things organized? We’re on the hunt for someone just like you to join our client’s team in Columbus! With your 5+ years of experience, you’ll be the backbone of the legal operations, supporting attorneys and paralegals with your stellar administrative skills.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Roll out the red carpet for clients with your exceptional client service skills—greet guests, manage meetings, and handle calls with ease.
  • Provide top-notch administrative support to the litigation team and occasionally assist other practice areas.
  • Keep a keen eye on detail and maintain the utmost confidentiality in all matters.
  • Juggle tasks like a pro by prioritizing work and responding to requests with urgency.
  • Be the go-to person for interacting with court personnel and attorneys to gather information and solve problems.
  • Create and review documents to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Stay on top of deadlines like a hawk.
  • Handle payments and reimbursements smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage client contacts, organize emails, and deal with correspondence like a champ.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, whether transcribing dictation or drafting documents.
  • Take charge of filing documents with courts electronically.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in litigation legal assisting within a law firm or similar legal environment is a must.
  • Knowledge of business practice strongly preferred.
  • High school education is essential, with additional legal coursework being a big plus.
  • Solid understanding of the litigation process and court operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with tools like Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, and iManage is a bonus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents and apply common sense to solve problems.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work more than 40 hours a week when needed.
