General Purpose

Accurately manage Buyout PO’s, transfer inventory, and interoffice paperwork. Communicate with multiple departments on a daily basis. Responsible for coordinating and performing product transfers between locations and local pick-ups. The Buyout and Transfer Coordinator is expected to be DOT Compliant at all times. They must also adhere to all the Federal and State laws and regulations when operating a Motor Vehicle, safety standards, and the Service Guarantee. He or she is responsible for the transfer, buyout process and interoffice deliveries, and clear communication while performing these duties. He or she is also responsible for performing the transfer transaction in our ERP System. This is a full time, hourly position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 pm to 5 pm. The starting hourly rate is between $26-$28 per hour.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities (DO)

· Compare Purchase Orders being picked up for accuracy and make sure they are correct.

· Respond to PO emails and email sales team when buyouts are picked up.

· Communicate with Inventory and Warehouse Supervisors regarding Buyout Merchandise location and status.

· Check load and complete pre and post trip safety inspection according to the Policy and Process document.

· Keep trucks clean inside and out.

· Check inspections and registrations for compliance.

· Keep paperwork organized at all times.

· Use caution when on the road and drive in a manner that reduces risk at all times.

· Perform inventory related and pick pack related functions in the warehouse when not driving under the direction of the Field Operations Manager or the Inventory Supervisor.

· Fuel your truck during the day and record how much fuel is used on fuel sheets.

· Correctly read and understand the Purchase Orders.

· Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

· Manage inter-office and common carrier mail.

· Assist with Cycle Counts and Spot Counts.

· Responsible for transfers in and out of locations from beginning to end.

· Operate a truck and forklift to transfer items and pick orders when needed.

· Accurately enter information into our ERP system.

· Be able to follow SOP and processes.

· Assist in unloading, labeling and staging all inbound and material picked up by drivers.

· Be able to read pick tickets accurately and pick orders that require a forklift or by hand correctly based on the standard nomenclature.

· Be responsible for ensuring that all transfers are completed each evening and that every customer order can be loaded without incident.

· Be responsible to communicate to the FOM if there are any orders that will not be able to be loaded complete.

· Other duties as assigned.

Experience (KNOW)

· Must have a clean New York State driver’s license.

· 1-2 years delivery driving experience in the Tri-State area.

· 2-3 years’ experience operating a forklift

· Experience loading & unloading box trucks and flatbeds.

· Knowledge of construction material and/or building supplies and the proper handling and identification of these supplies preferred but not required.

Language, Mathematical, and Reasoning Skills

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to write simple correspondence.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Work Environment

· This position is a warehouse role.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

· Forklift Certified

Job Requirements

· Has CDL License or must be obtained within 6 months

· Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs
