ASSOCIATE OR PATENT AGENT – PRODUCT DESIGN & USER INTERFACE PATENT PROSECUTION
Multiple Offices (Preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis)

Our client, a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate or Patent Agent to join their Product Design & User Interface Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to all firm offices, with a preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis.

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record (for Associate candidates).
  • Bar Admission in Georgia, Illinois, District of Columbia, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, or Arizona, as applicable (for Associate candidates).
  • Admission to the USPTO is required for both Associate and Patent Agent candidates.
  • 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science required.
  • Strong law firm, engineering, or industry experience, with superb writing and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
    • Software-related technologies
    • Artificial intelligence-related technologies
    • IoT, networking, and related technologies
    • Quantum technologies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and agents to provide innovative patent prosecution services.
  • Engage with clients to advise on patent strategy and ensure successful patent filings in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
