ASSOCIATE OR PATENT AGENT – PRODUCT DESIGN & USER INTERFACE PATENT PROSECUTION

Our client, a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate or Patent Agent to join their Product Design & User Interface Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to all firm offices, with a preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record (for Associate candidates).
- Bar Admission in Georgia, Illinois, District of Columbia, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, or Arizona, as applicable (for Associate candidates).
- Admission to the USPTO is required for both Associate and Patent Agent candidates.
- 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science required.
- Strong law firm, engineering, or industry experience, with superb writing and communication skills.
- Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
- Software-related technologies
- Artificial intelligence-related technologies
- IoT, networking, and related technologies
- Quantum technologies
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and agents to provide innovative patent prosecution services.
- Engage with clients to advise on patent strategy and ensure successful patent filings in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
