Position Overview
We are representing a well-established industrial distributor with more than 100 years of history serving customers throughout Florida. Backed by a larger national organization, the company combines the resources of an industry leader with the culture and responsiveness of a local business.
This field-based role is responsible for managing and growing one of the company's largest and most established territories in Miami-Dade County. The territory includes a strong existing customer base, along with significant opportunity to develop new business and expand market share.
The successful candidate will build relationships, identify customer needs, and deliver solutions to industrial, contractor, utility, municipal, OEM, manufacturing, and infrastructure customers throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and grow existing customer relationships throughout the territory
- Become a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations and recommending solutions
- Identify opportunities across hydraulic, fluid power, industrial, MRO, and related product categories
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support and execution
- Drive territory growth and achieve revenue objectives
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of outside sales experience within industrial distribution, fluid power, hydraulics, MRO, technical products, or related industrial markets
- Experience calling on industrial end users, contractors, utilities, municipalities, manufacturers, OEMs, or similar customers
- Existing relationships and market knowledge within the Miami-Dade area strongly preferred
- Strong prospecting, account management, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based territory with heavy travel
- Spanish language skills preferred. Candidates who are conversational in Spanish or have experience successfully selling into predominantly Spanish-speaking customer environments are encouraged to apply
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000-$75,000 with an uncapped commission structure
- First-year target earnings of approximately $80,000-$120,000+, depending on experience, existing industry relationships, and business development success
