Who We Are:
We are a multi-plant contract manufacturer providing powertrain components to the Automotive, Diesel Engine, and Military industries. Our manufactured components include Engine Blocks, Cylinder Heads, and Transmission Housings produced on a JIT basis, with the capacity to meet volumes of 500 to 1,000,000 annually. We are a full-service machining supplier with products spanning across various industries and uses, capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding applications.

Job Summary:
Manage all Q.C. Department employees and ensure the quality of all products produced and shipped.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain a quality manual, outlining company Q.C. procedures.
  • Oversee all inspection functions.
  • Oversee and conduct all internal and external Q.C. audits.
  • Oversee the programming of the CMMs.
  • Resolve customer complaints and in-house non-conforming issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality plans for all customers.
  • Make on-site customer visits.
  • Direct all MRB issues, write, and submit deviation requests.
  • Review SPC reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide leadership in TQM efforts through team meetings.
  • Make disposition decisions regarding scrap or rework or submit to customer for repair authorization.
  • Maintain and set up statistical computer programs.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings.
  • Keep employees and Managers informed as necessary.
  • Conduct and communicate employee job performance appraisals.
  • Handle employee problems and complaints.
  • Ensure all employees follow company rules.
  • Maintain all Q.C. documentation, recordkeeping, and files.
  • Evaluate and recommend the purchase of new Q.C. equipment.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality or industrial engineering or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • ISO 9001 Experience – 5 plus years minimum.
  • IATF 16949:2016 experience – 5 plus years minimum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
