We design and sell engineered-to-order and custom machinery and production heat transfer fin service work. You’ll have the opportunity to work on new and unusual projects and support the controls design and concept development for application solutions. You’ll also have the opportunity to communicate with customers and members of the organization as a critical part of this role.
As a Controls Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on new and unusual projects and support the controls design and concept development for application solutions. You will be responsible for concept development in support of unique customer requirements, collaboration with 3D Mechanical Design and 3D Controls Design in support of automation systems for customer and internal projects, and assisting with miscellaneous engineering and shop duties. You will also be responsible for programming, debugging, commissioning, and installation support for automation projects including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators. Additionally, you will be responsible for the programming of systems, processes, and machines as required to meet the needs of customers, detailing of designs including design reviews, verification, and validation, and supporting Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Service as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of actuators and controls used in custom automation, have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, have experience in PLC and HMI programming primarily using Allen Bradley, have excellent problem-solving skills, be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and OneNote, have direct hands-on experience in manufacturing development, and have proven machine conceptualization and programming skills.
