Regional Sales Manager – Western US

We've been engaged by a leading specialized equipment manufacturer, serving the medical, consumer product, and pharmaceutical (MCP) industries, to find a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to drive results and bolster our team. In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead revenue growth by nurturing relationships with both prospective and existing clients across the western United States. Ideal candidates will bring a proven track record in selling highly customized and intricate equipment within stringent ISO or AS environments. As an integral part of our team, you'll take charge of new client development and the expansion of current accounts. We're seeking individuals with a polished and consultative sales approach, ready to make a significant impact in our industry-leading company.

Location:
This is a remote position with high travel requirements that requires flexibility on your part. You must be located within reasonable driving distance of a major airport within any state in the western region of the US. There will be some international travel as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the medical, pharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Utilize company resources and tools to generate leads and advance the sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate quoting and order processing.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
  • Cultivate and manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and success.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams during the order process.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide regular reports.
  • Participate in industry events and activities as directed by leadership.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and selling techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least four years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years of sales experience for very complex and expensive equipment.
  • Consultative sales approach and self-driven to prospect and create new accounts.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Selling products within regulated environments such as ISO or AS certifications is critical.
  • Exposure to clean room situations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel frequently and as required up to 80%.
