Apply for the Process Controls Engineer position
Overview:
This person will be based at a manufacturing plant in the Shreveport area that employs approximately 150-200 people. The selling point of this role is the chance to be an integral part of a massive site-wide migration of a control system. That migration is set to start within the next 6-12 months and will be a project that takes 7-8 years to complete. It will involve the migration of every process control system within the facility. The scale of this migration is not common so it’s an opportunity to be a part of something big, which is sure to add to your skillset. The hiring manager is the controls supervisor and this is the start of him forming a team underneath him that will focus on process control and be the ‘tip of the spear’ for that migration project.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering required
- Looking for someone with 5-10 years of overall experience (at minimum) with at least 3-5 years of process control experience, working with DCS systems, ideally TDC3000 or Experion systems (can consider others, DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, etc)
- The perfect background would be chemical process experience combined with process control experience – because this group will be so closely working with the processes, having an eye for optimization and improvement opportunities is a huge plus
- APC experience is a huge plus, but not a must-have; this facility doesn’t use APC now but likely will in the future
