Currently, we are looking for a Project Engineer based in Ashland City, Tennessee.

Primary Function
Under general supervision, manage assigned projects from start to finish so that projects are completed on time and within budget. Implement an established project plan; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; identify, resolve, or escalate operational problems and minimize delays. Analyze project requirements and perform calculations.

Responsibilities

Facilitate or participate in team activities and carry our necessary functions while providing management with the appropriate feedback to ensure that critical decisions are made in an appropriate and timely manner.
Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitor activities, allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met.
Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
Set priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project team to meet project targets and milestones.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of company projects/programs or subsystems of major programs.
Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Act as primary customer contact for project / program activities, leading project/program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
Review status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer needs.
Serve as a liaison between project management the project team and line management.
Manages assigned project team.
Manage customer relationships including any technical or logistical issues that may arise.
Estimate projects in advance & justify and discuss project with all levels.
Interact with customers and manage subcontractors to complete the project efficiently and effectively on time, ahead of schedule, and with a satisfied customer.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
2+ years of project management, engineering experience, or technical industry minimum
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; solves complex problems.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD
