SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER
Sr. Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the purchasing of consumables to meet customer demands.
- Sourcing and visiting existing and potential new suppliers to kick off new models (Programs).
- Responsibility for structuring vendor blanket orders to support manufacturing.
- Issue RFQ’s to obtain best price.
- Establishing supplier relationships and building existing supplier relationships.
- Issue letters of intent after selection process and approval.
- Responsible for meeting the delivery, quality and cost.
- Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for the staff.
- Proactive in resolving problem and/or conflicts.
- Consistently demonstrates a positive management.
- Lead, Manage & Motivate employees in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with all employees.
- Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
Sr. Purchasing Manager Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A strong background and working knowledge of Automotive industry purchasing standards
- Experience with plastic suppliers and pricing structures
- Ability to negotiate product pricing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- High degree of professionalism along with organizational skills, tact, and diplomacy.
