Job Overview

The VP of Sales will have overall responsibility for developing, implementing, and driving our Global Sales growth strategy and execution. The  VP of Sales will lead the overall global sales team and efforts for the company, and will be a key member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the President.

This key role is responsible for providing strategic guidance and delivery of revenue for the global business.


  • Direct all aspects of achieving sales objectives, market share growth and initiatives
  • Responsible for employee retention, hiring, and development of sales team
  • Responsible for developing business plans that include goals, objectives and strategies that ensure budget attainment of sales goals, margins, and direct selling expenses to meet profit goals
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding individual salespeople’s activities / performance and sales forecasts
  • Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume for products, services and solutions provided
  • Control expenses
  • Ability to mentor and grow the skills of the sales team
  • May assist team in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are communicated and implemented
  • Build key customer relationships (external and internal) and implement strategies for expanding the client base
  • Responsible for all aspects of the sales functions within their location
  • Serves as an articulate, passionate, and visible executive leader


  • 8+ years of experience managing and scaling a successful sales team in a high growth environment – preferably in SaaS or logistics
  • 5+ years of experience as a top sales performer yourself
  • Proven leader and motivator
  • Strong entrepreneur, unafraid to roll-up their sleeves, get it done and “lead from the front”
  • Focused on building a scalable and repeatable sales model and process
  • Familiarity using modern CRM and marketing automation software
  • Experience managing pipelines, forecasting, and building revenues
  • Experience building and overseeing performance improvement plans for underperforming reps and managers, as needed
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and accountability
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and data driven
  • Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities
