VP of Manufacturing Profile / Job Description

Job Overview

The VP, of Manufacturing, will be a member of the leadership team and will work diligently with the Supply Chain and Operations leaders to ensure our performance is optimized. In this position, you will have overall responsibility for the in-house manufacturing operations of the company. You will develop and lead an organization under significant market growth and change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly competitive manufacturing systems to support business development objectives, focused on understanding customer requirements and implementing safe and efficient production processes
  • Continuous improvement of business processes through a strong commitment to Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Manage manufacturing to surpass industry and competitive benchmarks in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate results of planned objectives, and take appropriate action to rectify deficiencies
  • As part of the Operations Leadership team, participate in the constant assessment of pricing, operating costs, distribution function, product development, market development, and other policies and procedures of the Company supported by Operations
  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions, and business processes through leadership and decisive action to push an ambitious yet attainable strategy for growth

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous 10+ years’ experience with oversight of manufacturing operations
  • Strong process engineering experience in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent project management skills to manage complex processes to bring new products to market from development to production
  • Proven ability to establish a high performing manufacturing team; evaluating and reconfiguring as necessary to create a maintainable and collaborative group
  • Willingness to learn and research new engineering concepts
  • Competent people leader who manages, mentors, and develops direct reports while earning their respect
